Not every job wants ready-made boxes. Pipeline crossings, slope facings, long river aprons and site-built gabions are often made from mesh in rolls — the same machine-woven double twisted hexagonal mesh as our gabion boxes, cut and laced on site. We weave it up to 4 m wide, galvanized or PVC coated.

A roll of double twisted hexagonal steel wire mesh — the mesh that gabion boxes and revet mattresses are folded from — supplied flat in a roll instead of fabricated into units. Each long edge is finished with a heavier selvedge wire. The contractor cuts panels on site, forms them into gabions, mattresses or facings, and laces them with lacing wire.
It is the economical choice where unit sizes vary along the work, where long continuous panels are wanted (aprons, slope and pipeline protection), or where a contractor fabricates gabions locally. For rockfall drapery the same rolls are used as rockfall netting.

A specification written as “mesh wire 3.30 / 2.20 mm” means a 2.20 mm core with a PVC jacket making 3.30 mm overall. Send the specification as written and we confirm each figure against what we weave before quoting.

Send the mesh type, wire diameters (core and outside for PVC), selvedge, roll width and length, colour, quantity and the delivery point. Rolls are wrapped and palletised for sea freight; we quote ex-works, FOR site in India, or FOB / CIF for export (export enquiries, Gulf).
