How Agarwal Gabion Industries collects, uses and protects the information you share through this website.
This website, agarwalgabions.com, is operated by Agarwal Gabion Industries (“we”, “us”), manufacturers of gabions, wire mesh and fencing, with its office at 52, Zakaria Street, Bara Bazar, CR Avenue, Kolkata – 700073, West Bengal, India. For the purposes of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below.
When you send an enquiry through our contact form we collect what you type in: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, and — if you provide them — your company, email address, the product you are interested in, quantity, site location and message.
With each enquiry we also record the internet address it was sent from, the approximate location that address indicates (city, region, country and network), your browser type and the page you came from. We use this only to block automated spam and to know where enquiries come from.
When you contact us directly by phone, WhatsApp or email, we receive whatever you send us through that channel.
When you click a contact button (WhatsApp, call, email, quotation or brochure) we record an anonymous count: the type of button, the page and product it was on, and the website that referred you. This contains no name, number, email, IP address or other information that identifies you.
If you accept cookies, Google Analytics records how the site is used: pages viewed, time on the site, the website or search that referred you, approximate location (city or region), device and browser type, which contact buttons you click and whether an enquiry was sent. It uses cookies and a random identifier; it does not receive your name, phone number, email or the contents of the enquiry form. If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded at all.
When you open a page we record an anonymous page-view count: the page, the website that referred you, the approximate location our host infers for the request (country, region and city), whether you are on a phone or computer, and your browser’s user-agent text. It uses no cookie and does not store your IP address, name, number or email.
When you browse the site our hosting provider automatically processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type in its server logs, as every website host does, to deliver pages and keep the service secure.
If you open our staff dashboard (/dashboard) or a staff tool linked from it, we record the visit with your IP address, the approximate location it indicates (city, region, country and network), your browser and device type, and the time. These tools are for authorised Agarwal Gabions staff only. Staff who sign in must share their device’s exact location, which is recorded each time a tool is opened; the tools cannot be used without it.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and we do not collect sensitive data such as financial or health information through this website.
We process enquiry details on the basis of your consent, which you give by submitting the form, and for the purpose you contacted us about. We do not sell your personal data and we do not send you marketing you have not asked for.

We keep enquiry details submitted through this website for 3 years from the date you sent them, so that we can refer back to earlier quotations if you come back to us. After that they are deleted automatically. If you become a customer, records connected to orders and invoices are kept for as long as tax and company law require. Anonymous click and page-view counts contain no personal data and may be kept longer. Google Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Analytics account, and is deleted automatically after that. Staff dashboard visit and location records are kept for 12 months and then deleted automatically.
