Steep-slope retaining walls, landslide repair and hill-road protection around Shimla. Gabion boxes, revet mattresses, chain link, barbed wire and concertina coil, made in West Bengal by an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturer.
Shimla is built on steep ridges, with buildings and roads stacked on slopes held by retaining walls. Heavy monsoons bring slope failures across the town and on the roads around it, and many older masonry walls fail because water builds up behind them.
Gabion walls drain through their own stone and flex with a slope that keeps moving, which is why they are used for landslide repairs here. We supply contractors in Shimla with gabions, rockfall netting and fencing.
Stepped gabion walls below roads and buildings.
Free-draining gabion walls and toe buttresses where slopes have failed.
Netting over cuttings above roads.
Chain link along road edges and compounds.
The monsoon runs from about July to September. Slope works are built from October to June, avoiding the coldest weeks of winter.
Slope walls: heavily galvanized 10×12 boxes, 2.70 or 3.00 mm wire, with a geotextile behind.
Cuttings: 8×10 rockfall netting anchored at the crest.
Fencing: chain link to IS 2721, welded mesh to IS 4948, barbed wire to IS 278 and concertina coil — galvanized or PVC coated.
Send the clause from your drawing or BOQ and we will confirm the mesh type, wire diameters and coating against it before quoting.
