Imphal valley rivers and drains, the hill roads into the valley, and secure perimeters. Gabion boxes, revet mattresses, chain link, barbed wire and concertina coil, made in West Bengal by an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturer.
Imphal sits on the floor of a flat valley ringed by hills. The Imphal, Iril, Nambul and Thoubal rivers cross the valley towards Loktak lake, and when heavy rain falls on the surrounding hills they overflow their banks into the city's low wards. The roads that climb out of the valley — towards Kohima, Jiribam and Moreh — cut through hill slopes that slip every monsoon.
We deliver gabion boxes and revet mattresses to contractors in and around Imphal from our Ethelbari works in North Bengal, together with the fencing a valley full of government, institutional and security compounds needs: chain link, barbed wire and concertina coil.
Mattresses on the banks of the Imphal, Nambul and Iril where they erode beside roads and houses, with gabion boxes at the toe.
Mattress linings for the drains and channels that carry hill run-off through the city.
Gabion walls on the roads out of the valley, which tolerate settlement and drain freely.
Chain link and barbed wire for compounds, with concertina coil on walls and fence tops where security matters.
Imphal is supplied from our Ethelbari works by road — through Assam and Dimapur on the Kohima road, or through Silchar and Jiribam, whichever route is open and better at the time.
Gabions and fencing travel folded or rolled, so a truck carries a lot of work; the stone for gabions comes from local quarries.
Manipur's rains run from about May to October. River and drain work belongs in the dry months, November to April, finished before the rivers rise; plan deliveries with the hill roads in mind.
River banks and drains: PVC coated mattresses (0.23 or 0.30 m) and boxes on a geotextile filter — the units sit in water for months.
Hill-road walls: heavily galvanized 10×12 boxes, 2.70 mm mesh wire.
Fencing: chain link to IS 2721 (commonly 50 or 75 mm mesh), barbed wire to IS 278, and concertina coil (600 mm is the usual tender size) — galvanized, or PVC coated for chain link.
Send the clause from your drawing or BOQ and we will confirm the mesh type, wire diameters and coating against it before quoting.
