Highway slope protection, Jhelum and Chenab river works, and high-altitude roads in Ladakh. Gabion boxes, revet mattresses and wire mesh made to IS 16014:2024 by an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturer.
In Jammu and Kashmir the main highways cut through slopes that slide with every heavy spell of rain, and the Jhelum, Chenab and Tawi flood and scour their banks. In Ladakh the problem changes: high, cold desert roads where freeze and thaw, snowmelt and rockfall decide how long a wall lasts.
Gabions suit both, because they are built from local stone and they tolerate movement. We deliver gabion boxes, mattresses and rockfall netting to contractors across Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh from our works in West Bengal.
Gabion walls and rockfall netting on the slide-prone stretches of the highways.
Mattresses and gabion walls along the Jhelum, Chenab and Tawi.
Retaining walls on mountain roads in Ladakh, built from the plentiful local rock.
Gabion walls used to deflect snow drift and debris from roads.
Gabions travel folded flat, so long-distance freight is for wire only; stone is plentiful on site in both Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
Ladakh's roads are open for only part of the year — material has to be on site when the season opens.
Jammu and Kashmir builds mainly from spring to autumn, avoiding the heaviest rain and the winter. Ladakh's working season is roughly May to October, between road openings and closures.
Highway walls: heavily galvanized boxes, 10×12 mesh, 2.70 or 3.00 mm wire.
Rivers: PVC coated mattresses and boxes.
Rockfall: netting on cut faces; designed systems for large blocks.
Send the clause from your drawing or BOQ and we will confirm the mesh type, wire diameters and coating against it before quoting.
Orders for the rest of India are dispatched from our West Bengal works on the national road and rail routes — Jangalpur near Kolkata, or Ethelbari in the Dooars for the north, whichever is nearer the site. Send your BOQ or drawing with the site location and we will quote a delivered price.
Yes — we deliver from our works in West Bengal. For Ladakh, plan for the short road season and tell us the site and access so we can plan the dispatch.
Heavily galvanized wire is the usual choice for dry, cold sites. Where the units sit in snowmelt or streams, talk to us about PVC coating — the PVC compound in IS 16014 is qualified for cold, but repeated freeze and thaw is mechanical wear worth planning for.
Tell us your dimensions, wire specification and quantity — we'll come back with a quotation and lead time.
